48362 Geronimo Trail, Yucca Valley, CA 92284

Property Description

Set high above Pipes Canyon and hidden behind boulders at the end of a long private driveway, Dakota Haus commands direct, south-facing views of the Sawtooth Mountains. The scale of the setting is difficult to capture in photographs and immediately apparent in person. Monumental boulder formations surround the house, while a large picture window frames the landscape and draws natural light deep into the interior. Tastefully updated, the two-bedroom, two-bath residence retains its original high-desert character through slumpstone walls, a fireplace, and a simple material palette. Multiple decks and terraces extend the living space into the surrounding landscape, with a private hot tub set among the boulders. The setting offers complete privacy and a genuine sense of immersion in nature while remaining comfortable, accessible, and connected. The property sits at the edge of Sand to Snow National Monument, with protected wilderness just steps away. Access is simple, with only a short stretch of dirt road off Pipes Canyon Road. Downtown Pioneertown is minutes away, with Joshua Tree National Park and the wider high desert within easy reach. An exceptional second home or established short-term rental in one of the high desert's strongest locations.
